Election Eve Vigil of Prayer

flag

Recently the three bishops of the Diocese of Virginia encouraged the priests and parishes of our diocese to provide opportunities for people to gather and pray during this special time leading up to the election.

While some find this time exciting and celebratory, others are frightful and filled with anxiety. Whichever camp you happen to find yourself in please join us in prayer. Please send this invitation to your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to join us as well.

We won’t be praying specifically for one or the other of the candidates or platforms; but praying more so for peace in our country and for a time of healing.

Please plan to join us one and all.

Peace friends,

Chuck

PS:  If you need some balance during these challenging days, please enjoy the video below (from Pedigree Brand). We all love dogs.
