A Wise Owl

“Just Because Monday” …  We’ve set aside Monday as a day to share one of the  humorous, thought-provoking or inspirational items I come across …  “just because.”

I wish we knew who created this illustration so we could acknowledge them correctly and thank them! “Be kind to unkind people. They need it most.”  Almost seems like it could be scripture, doesn’t it!?  There’s a story in Matthew Chapter 9 titled, The Workers are Few:

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When Jesus saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.

It’s just like Jesus to have compassion on people, no matter who they were. Even unkind people. Christ could see each hurting soul and He genuinely cared about them. Our Lord showed His compassion with His actions. When we develop compassion in our lives we can’t help but show it through seeds of kindness. May we sow seeds of compassion and kindness, even to those most difficult among us.

I’ll be praying for you, please keep me in your prayers as well.

Peace friends,

I was anxious to read after you mentioned this yesterday at St.A’s – you are spot on, Chuck. It can be very difficult to do but I know personally when I manage this the feeling one receives is so redemptive.
