Fiona’s Rescue

“Just Because Monday” …  We’ve set aside Monday as a day to share one of the  humorous, thought-provoking or inspirational items I come across …  “just because.”

Many of you know I have a German Shepherd named Brock. I often say that Brock is the perfect God-sent companion I never knew I needed! A friend sent me this heart-warming video knowing how much I love dogs … and the kind people who rescue and care for them too.  Enjoy.

Peace friends,

When our daughter moved to Athens, GA accompanying her husband who was a teacher. She noticed this little “mutt” scavenging in garbage cans and generally homeless. She finally went to him and brought him home. She took him to the vet to get wormed, etc. and he became her shadow.. and she named him Scraggly. He was part terrier and part something else but with a real personality. After about a year a young man knocked on her door, having seen her with the dog and said it was his dog and he wanted him back. No chance said my daughter, you abandoned him and he is mine now. And he was hers until she had to put him down a number of years later. She now has a large amount of land and has 5 rescue Doberman’s.

Heartwarming; God bless the people who save her and the couple who adopted her…

I also wish that people would be as forgiving as dogs are.

Oh Chuck. This is so moving. I have three Maltese. This is so sad. Thank God we have people to save these beautiful creatures. Paula has saved three German Shepherds. They are wonderful.

Beautiful! I couldn’t help but think what this world would be like if we all did more of this kind of rescuing for people as well. May God bless those who are His hand’s and feet.
